CDR-King Releases New Cheaper 7″ Fastpad for Only Php 5,800!

The new 7" Fastpad

A few weeks ago, I made a post about the CDR-King Fastpad being one of the cheapest tablets in the Metro. As of yesterday, CDR-King once again introduced an even cheaper 7-inch tablet which is similarly called the  7″ Fastpad. Priced at only Php 5,800, the new Fastpad could very well be the cheapest 1Ghz Android 2.3 tablet around. It also boasts a 3500mAh battery which is significantly better than the 2200mAh on the old Fastpad. Here are the complete specs:

CPU: Telechips 8902 (1GHz ARM11)

OS: Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Screen: 7-inch Capacitive LCD (800 x 480 resolution)

Memory: 256MB DDR2

Storage: 4 GB flash storage

External Storage: Micro SD card up to 32gb

WiFi: 802.11b/g supported

Battery: 3500 mAh

G-sensor: supported

Camera: Built-in 1.3M camera

HDMI port, built-in speaker and microphone

For the price of Php 5,800, this table definitely packs the basic necessities of a tablet with a few added bonuses. The 1Ghz processor can handle most applications today in the Android market place and the included HDMI port is a nice touch. It looks sleek and professional with its black exterior coloring and the physical keys seem to be very well placed. For only Php 5,800, this could be a steal!

This is a good alternative for a netbook which cost more that 10k php. And if you are worried about office applications which will should have you could download Olive office which is free to edit word documents, power point presentation, spreadsheets and etc. And as far as I know if some people are looking for an RJ-45 or ethernet ( i think) it is supplied with a usb adapter for the ethernet port.

Have you tested the battery life of this one? With standby and wifi access?
