AMD Radeon HD 7970 Launched, Currently the Best GPU in the Market Today

 

AMD recently announced the launch of their new graphics card called the AMD Radeon HD 7970, which is a successor to the popular HD 6970. It feature’s AMD’s new Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture and is the first card to ever support a 3.0 PCI-express slot along with a DirectX 11.1 capability.

The Radeon HD 7970 has 2048 stream processors paired with 3GB of GDDR5 memory. Along with these, it also is connected over a 384-bit wide memory bus. The AMD HD 7970 can also handle up to six monitors connected to it.  According to AMD, the SRP price of this card will be at $549 which is approximately Php 23,400. I’m sure you’ll be seeing this bad boy in Philippine shores come 1st quarter of 2012.
